Club Lersuang, completed end-November 2005, is a 56 unit apartment / penthouse development in Bang Tao Beach , 200m from the seashore. The development consists of 4 blocks of 12 apartments and 2 penthouses each, many of which are for rent on a long-term or holiday rental basis. Club Lersuang is situated in a fast growing area of Surin /Bang Tao within 2 minutes of well know areas such as The Chedi, Amanpuri, The Rydges hotel and Baan Chai Nam Estate.
The development has a clubhouse with reception office and separately operated restaurant, bar, pool bar, internet café, gymnasium and pool table. The gymnasium is available to owners and guests on a complimentary basis. Guests and residents may make use of the other facilities for their own account. The restaurant and bar will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The development has a large swimming pool which extends the length of the grounds between the apartments and the reception / clubhouse There is a separate kids pool section for less experienced swimmers.
The village of Surin offers a number of fine western and local restaurants, shops, coffee shops, and many services ranging from dive shops to tailors, from travel agents to spas/ beauty salons. Some of the restaurants will offer take away or home delivery services. Many of the locals know Club Lersuang and will deliver to your door if asked. Many of the great restaurants in Surin / Bang Tao, have a distinctly relaxed atmosphere. Some recommended favorites include Carmen and Bianco Ross for Italian / Thai food, Silk in Surin Plaza for high Thai dining, Surin Bay Inn is a locas favourits where Terry & Mai's team serve a great breakfast. Stars has a Scandinaviian / Thai flair and not to forget Twin Pamls Hotel's “Oriental Spoon” restaurant for Dinners and a supurb Sunday Brunch
Many of the local shops will have basic essentials and the Paula's Retro Cafe has a good selection of breads deli items and the best coffee around. A more comprehensive shop would best be done at one of the big supermarkets in Phuket Town , Lotus – Tescos, BigC and Central to name a few.
The Surin Plaza , in main road Surin has a great range of shops albeit in the higher range and well worth a look. There are a plethora of massage places in the area but can also be arranged on the beach or in your apartment. The Surin Hair and Beauty salon is a neaby treat for relaxation and pampering
There was some great diving to be had off Kamala Beach before the tsunami and only time will tell how quickly this will return from a marine life point of view. There can still be some great snorkelling to be found off the southern headland and should not be discounted.
Bang Tao Beach is +- 10km long. For those wanting a bit of exercise, a good walk is always rewarding. Be sure to take a lot of water with you, a mobile phone and of course some sunscreen and a hat.
